GOSPEL-CENTERED
The gospel is called the "good news" and it is particularly good news about our sin problem. In a nutshell, we can sum it up this way: The gospel is that God himself has come to rescue and renew creation in and through the work of Jesus Christ on our behalf. The gospel allows us to have right standing with God, not by our efforts, not by our works, not by our skill, but by Jesus alone. This is good news! The gospel is the only hope for eternal life. The gospel is not just a door we enter for salvation, but the path we journey on to thrive within the kingdom and see transformation within our lives. The gospel is central to all that we are and the power for all that we do. As we continue to grow in our understanding of the gospel, our sinfulness, and Gods holiness; we are consumed with a love for Jesus and see Christ as our greatest treasure. The motivation behind our vision, structure, identity, and rhythms all derive from the gospel. The gospel is not just about the afterlife. The gospel is for all of life.

BETTER FAMILY
In light of the gospel, we are given a new identity as adopted sons and daughters of God. God is forming a people for himself that would live together in community as a family. This community in the bible was called "the church." The Bible illustrates that the church is a people, not a place. This community gathers to pray for one another, encourage one another, exhort one another, bless one another, and teach one another. We welcome all an opportunity to experience this life with a better family. We believe that life in community is the most effective means of making disciples and shaping people by the gospel. We want to be a community of God's people who care for one another in such a way that our city will know who Jesus is by our love for one another. As people who have experienced the grace of the gospel, we want to make room for peoples faults and allow people to live open and authentic lives in community. We live out and practice confession of sin, repentance, and reconciliation. Striving to live as a family will challenge us to reorient our lives around others as we seek to reveal the diversity of our city and live in a culture that values individualism.

EVERYDAY MISSION
In the same way that Jesus came as a missionary to the world, He sends us out as missionaries to saturate the world with the good news of Jesus. As Jesus was a friend of sinners, we long to be known as “friends” to our city. Jesus gives us a new purpose to make disciples who make disciples. We are to declare and demonstrate the gospel in the everyday rhythms of life with those in proximity to us. Missional living in not an additional thing we add on to our already busy lives. Missional living is to live with gospel intentionally as we go about our daily lives, schedules, and rhythms. As we seek to lead missional lives, we are not concerned with keeping people busy and entertained with "church." We are striving to be the church and fulfill the mission of the church. Rather than inviting people to church, we are inviting the church to go to the people. This is what it means to live out the everyday mission of God.

SPIRIT-LED
The Bible speaks of the Holy Spirit as a gift and a helper. We seek to be responsive to the Holy Spirit's guidance and empowerment in our lives. Effective ministry and spiritual growth only occur under the empowering presence and submission to the Holy Spirit. We set aside regular times to actively listen and follow the Holy Spirit's leading in our life. Through the Spirit’s work, we experience rest and freedom from our work. We regularly set aside time when we remember that God is in control, that he has lavished our lives with his grace, that he is at work while we are at rest, and that we glorify God through our rest.

KINGDOM ADVANCEMENT
At the heart of who we are, we seek to advance the kingdom by saturating the valley with the good news of Jesus. In order to fulfill our vision of gospel saturation, we believe it will require a strategic discipleship process, strong partnerships with local churches, equipping of strategic leaders, new churches planted, and becoming financially sustainable and generous. To become a kingdom advancing church it will require us to sacrifice for the greater good of our city. Our desire is to see people grow into maturity and be sent out to advance the kingdom of God.
